India opener KL Rahul became only the fifth Indian batter to score 1000 Test runs in England. Rahul reached the landmark during the opening session of ongoing fourth Test versus England on Wednesday and entered a list that includes legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar, and Virat Kohli.
Rahul came into the Manchester Test needing just 11 runs to cross the 1000-run mark in Tests in England.Â
This is KL Rahul’s 13th Test in England and his consistency at the top of the order has earned him a place among some of India’s greatest Test batters.Â
